This small, but oh so wonderful haven is run by the cheerful Marta and her family and is located in the middle of the countryside. Everywhere you look you see cork trees and fruit trees, which depending on the season, are full of beautiful blossoms or laden with ripe oranges and pomegranates.

Marta and her family do everything to give you a magnificent stay: they pay attention to the smallest details, they are available at all times and prepare an extensive breakfast each morning with fresh ingredients from their own garden and the surrounding area. Plus, there are bicycles to get to the beach, a swimming pool, and sleeping in is allowed! Your breakfast is only ready when you are.

A lot of attention is also given to the 12 comfortable rooms. Not only can you expect thorough cleaning every day and new, fresh bedding, the decor is also top-notch with macramé lampshades, quirky mirrors and woven reed wall hangings, whitewashed walls, modern furniture, and polished concrete floors. There are different types of rooms to stay in. There's a family apartment with two rooms and two large king-size beds, a suite with a jacuzzi and even a treehouse about 6.5 meters above the ground, in the carob tree.

From Tuesday to Saturday you can enjoy everything the local kitchen has to offer at Conversas de Alpendre. From romantic dinners for two to tables full of treats for the entire family, everything is possible. Please indicate in advance that you want to use this service, so the family can buy the freshest regional products from the local market in the morning. If you want to go out one evening, they will be glad to give you the best tips for regional restaurants.

Near the beach

Conversas de Alpendre is located in Vila Nova De Cacela. It's about 2 kilometers from the beach and about a twenty-minute drive from Pedras de El-Rei. From here you can take a boat to Ilha de Tavira. A car-free island with white bounty beaches and a Caribbean vibe, in the middle of Ria Formosa Natural Park. You can relax here at one of the beach bars and spot flamingos and other tropical birds. In short, an amazing place for a relaxing holiday!

Meet the owners

The cheerful and friendly owners Martha and James, opened the doors of Conversas de Alpendre in 2016. This happened after the birth of their son Francisco. This event inspired them so much that they wanted to immediately change their previous lives. They quit their jobs and took the opportunity to realize their dream: to create a beautiful place in the countryside that they could share with others. Together with Francisco's grandparents, Cristina and José Carlos, they embarked on the adventure and opened the family-friendly Conversas de Alpendre under the sun in the Algarve.

Sleeping in a tree house

Conversas de Alpendre is accommodation suitable for both couples and families. It boasts a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, offering various types of rooms for your stay. If you're traveling with children, the Family Apartment is the most comfortable accommodation option. If you're a couple looking for something truly special, book your overnight stays in the Treehouse, where you can enjoy peace and view over the green surroundings from high in the trees. Or spend the night in a detached cabin with private swimming pool, privacy and romance guaranteed!

Magnificent breakfast

Waking up in Conversas de Alpendre is a celebration every single day! The most delicious breakfast you ever tasted might just be served on the beautiful outdoor terrace. Everything is fresh and prepared with love: the orange juice is freshly squeezed, the pumpkin jam is homemade, and the eggs are cooked to order from a local farm. In addition, you also receive a bag full of homemade bread and croissants, a plate with local cheeses and hams, and a bowl of fruit from their own orchard.

Tavira

In the Algarve, you will find the finest surf spots in Europe and the most beautiful golf courses to hit a ball. Closer to home, about a 10-minute drive away, you will find the picturesque coastal town of Tavira. Loved for its romantic streetscape with characteristic white houses, Gothic churches, and old castle ruins. Wander through the narrow winding streets, make envy-inducing pictures for your Instagram, and be sure to have lunch by the water. The grilled sardines taste good here, very good!
